Andy was Davidson‘s first artist in residence in the fall of 2007 is currently working on the town‘s first public art piece, to be unveiled in the spring.
He is currently a professor at UNC Greensboro. He has had exhibitions of sculpture at the Sculpture Center, NY, and large scale outdoor works at Roosevelt Island and Long Island University, NY.
Andy has exhibited at the Navy Pier in Chicago, St. Paul‘s Western Sculpture Park, MN, and Franconia Sculpture Park, MN where he was a resident artist in 1997. Recently Andy had a one person exhibition at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art in Winston Salem, NC. His sculptures are primarily steel, cast metal and mixed media, he also exhibits drawings.
Andy teaches all levels of sculpture and is the foundry manager at UNCG.
